The unemployed Union joins in the rally against the cuts in Strabane

SIPTU North and Strabane Trades Council held a rally against the cuts on Saturday 11th December in Strabane town centre.
Despite the absence of media coverage the event was supported by the local public and a small crowd gathered to hear speakers from the Trade Unions condemn the Government's slash and burn policies.

Strabane Trades Council and the Unemployed Union intend to hold a march and rally, to protest against cuts in public services and benefits, in Strabane in February.  We will advertise the details of the event in the new year, and we hope that the Unions, and the local people will support this action!
